From Hustle to Flow: The Simple Changes That Transformed My Business and Life
I didn’t start my business to hustle 24/7 – but somewhere along the way, that’s exactly what happened.
I found myself chasing big goals, managing a large team, and spending more time fixing other people’s work than creating anything of my own. I was “successful” on paper, but inside? I felt trapped. Exhausted. Totally out of alignment.
If you’ve ever felt like your business has taken over your life, this one’s for you.
In this week’s new episode of my NEW Podcast Live MORE, Earn More…
1. Getting Honest with Myself
During the pandemic, I felt claustrophobic. At first, I thought it was just because I was living in London. But it wasn’t about geography. It was about life. I needed to simplify my business.
My soul was craving something simpler. So I got honest about what I wanted:
-
Space.
-
Creativity.
-
Freedom to be there for my son.
-
Time to breathe.
I left London and moved back to the Cotswolds – I wanted to be back home, get more peace, and more nature. That change helped me realise I needed to simplify everything – not just where I lived, but how I worked and my relationship.
2. Letting Go (Even When It’s Hard)
One of the hardest but best decisions I made was letting go of parts of my team.
It wasn’t about anyone doing anything wrong – it was about me needing to return to my roots as a solopreneur. I missed being creative. I missed the freedom to work how and when I wanted. I wanted to simplify business.
Now, I record Loom videos instead of having endless meetings. I collaborate only when it feels aligned. And that simplicity has given me space – the kind where new ideas actually have room to breathe.
When you simplify your business, everything changes for the better.
3. Simplify Your Business and Life
I also realised I needed less.
I went from a big London house to a small Cotswolds cottage – and my happiness grew as my life simplified. I don’t need all the “stuff.” I need time, peace, and joy.
Listening to the whispers to simplify your business makes life so much better.
4. Streamlining My Systems
Gone are the 10-day launches with endless moving parts.
I now keep everything simple.
I write my own emails, schedule them myself, and it all just… works. What used to take three people and endless edits now takes me half the time.
I also use ChatGPT to help with admin, research, and automation – so I can focus on the fun, creative work that lights me up.
When you simplify, you make space for flow. And that’s when your best work (and energy) comes through.
5. Finding Flow and Alignment
Simplifying isn’t just about fewer tools or smaller teams. It’s about energy.
When you strip back the “shoulds” and reconnect with what actually feels good, everything changes.
Clients can feel it. Your creativity expands. And business stops feeling like a slog.
When you’re in flow, you attract ease.
🌸 Final Thoughts
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or stuck, this is your permission slip to slow down and simplify.
You don’t need a huge team, a complicated funnel, or endless meetings. You just need a clear vision, simple systems, and a business that supports the life you want to live.
Because your business should give you freedom – not take it away.
