Stop Following Algorithms and Do This Instead

Let’s be honest – chasing the algorithm is exhausting.

Trying to keep up with every new trend, reel, and “expert” telling you how often to post can leave you feeling burnt out and disconnected from why you started creating in the first place.

I’ve been there – posting everywhere, every day, trying to play the game.

And do you know what? It didn’t feel good.

So I stopped.

Instead of forcing content, I decided to focus on what feels good.

1. Find What Feels Good 🌸

You don’t need to be everywhere. You just need to be somewhere that feels right for you.

For me, that’s LinkedIn if you’d like to connect 😄. I post at 6:15am – my golden window before my son wakes up – and I connect with people I genuinely enjoy chatting to.

I used to just wake up and write something, these days I schedule my posts. No pressure. No frantic “what should I post?” energy. Just flow.

If you love video, choose YouTube… I would love to connect!

If writing lights you up, go all in on LinkedIn or blogging on Substack.

Let joy be your strategy.

2. Align with Where You Are Right Now ✨

Your content should evolve with you.

My YouTube channel started as a space to teach online business strategy – but over time, I’ve become more spiritual, more intuitive, and more focused on alignment.

That shift meant my content changed too. Some followers dropped off, but others came to say hi – the ones who truly resonate with where I am now.

It’s okay for your audience to shift as you grow.

You don’t need everyone – you need the right ones.

3. Create Connection, Not Just Views 💬

Viral content might boost your ego – but it doesn’t always build your business.

I’ve found my evergreen content grows my business day in, day out. That’s YouTube videos, my podcast and Pinterest.

I’ve had videos hit thousands of views, but the real magic happens in the blog posts, YouTube videos, comments, DMs, and conversations with people who get it.

Connection leads to trust. Trust leads to sales. And that’s how you build a business that lasts with clients who come back again and again because they feel connected to you.

4. Focus on Long-Term Relationships 🌿

When you stop chasing trends, you start attracting the right people – the ones who want to be in your world long-term.

That’s why I love memberships and recurring programs. They allow you to build genuine community, nurture relationships, and create recurring income without constantly being on launch mode.

If you want a business that’s calm, profitable, and built around your life – not algorithms – start creating content that feels authentic and aligned.
