How to Build an Evergreen Sales Funnel
An evergreen sales funnel is such a powerful tool for coaches, consultants and small business owners to live more, work less and create passive income.
Unlike traditional sales funnels that require constant updates and live promotions, an evergreen funnel continuously attracts, nurtures, and converts leads into customers on autopilot.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to building an effective evergreen sales funnel for your business.
Step 1: Define Your Target Audience
Understanding your target audience is crucial to the success of your evergreen funnel.
Start by creating your ideal client and think about demographic information, pain points, goals, and the buying behaviour of YOUR dream client.
Knowing your audience helps tailor your message to meet their specific needs.
Step 2: Create a Lead Magnet
A lead magnet is an incentive offered to potential customers in exchange for their contact information.
This could be an eBook, a quiz, a checklist, a webinar, or a free trial—anything that provides value and addresses a problem your audience is facing.
I LOVE quizzes, and use a quiz software from Interact. And I get a 63% conversion rate for my quiz…
Ensure your lead magnet is high-quality and directly related to your product or service.
Step 3: Create a Landing Page
Your landing page is where you will capture leads.
It should be simple, visually appealing, and focused on the lead magnet. Use clear headlines, compelling copy, and a strong call-to-action (CTA).
Ensure the form is clean, easy to fill out and only ask for essential information….
Don’t clutter the page with too many words! Less is definitely more!
Step 4: Set Up an Email Sequence
Once a lead has entered their information, they should be nurtured through an email sequence.
Focus on the problem, and how you are going to solve the problem.
This sequence should provide value, build trust, and gradually introduce your product or service. Start with a welcome email, and then follow up with some training videos sharing your expertise and case studies… And sprinkle in some testimonials.
Finally, include emails that present your product or service as the solution to their problem….
Step 5: Build a Sales Page
Your sales page is where conversions happen. It should highlight the benefits of your product or service, include social proof, and have a clear and strong CTA.
Use compelling copy, high-quality images or videos, and an easy checkout process that works!!! Make sure you test it!
You could consider offering limited-time bonuses to create a sense of urgency.
Step 6: Implement Automation
Automation is THE SECRET to an evergreen funnel.
Use marketing automation tools like ConvertKit (my favourite) or ActiveCampaign to manage and automate your email sequences and track who’s clicking and where!
This allows you to send personalized messages based on how leads interact with your emails and website.
Step 6: Put Your Business on Autopilot
Automation is THE SECRET to an evergreen funnel.
Use marketing automation tools like ConvertKit (my favourite) or ActiveCampaign to manage and automate your email sequences and track who’s clicking and where!
This allows you to send personalized messages based on how leads interact with your emails and website.
Step 7: You NEED an EYEBALLS! 👀 Drive Traffic to Your Funnel
Even the best funnel won’t work without traffic. You need 👀 eyeballs to see your content and click on your lead magnets.
Use various channels to drive traffic to your landing page. This can include content marketing (blogs, videos, podcasts), social media marketing, SEO, and paid advertising (Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
Right now, I love LinkedIn and my YouTube channel. But this changes depending on the market… Facebook ads used to work brilliantly, but they are not so effective these days.
Experiment with different strategies to see what works best for your audience.
Step 8: Optimize and Scale
Once your funnel is live, continuously monitor its performance… You want to do this regularly to see how it’s working and what’s working well.
Use analytics to track metrics like conversion rates, email open rates, and click-through rates.
A/B test different elements of your funnel (headlines, copy, images, CTAs) to see what performs best. As you gather data, optimize your funnel for better results and scale your efforts.
Conclusion
Building an evergreen sales funnel takes time and effort, but the rewards are well worth it.
By understanding your audience, providing value, and automating your processes, you can create a funnel that consistently generates leads and sales for your business.
Remember to keep testing and optimising to ensure long-term success.
With a well-built evergreen sales funnel, you can enjoy a steady stream of revenue while focusing on other aspects of your business and LIFE! Happy funnel building!
