People like people that they can relate to, and want to have a drink with. They don’t like someone who doesn’t come across as warm or friendly. They share their life, and their stories, and things go wrong, but they overcome challenges and succeed!
Vulnerability matters in building brand awareness. Influencer marketing plays to this strength. When we form a relationship with someone (even if we don’t “know them) we are more likely to buy the outfit or the shoes.
How can you become an influencer in your marketing?
Allow people to get to know “YOU” – your vulnerabilities and all.
Talk about your daily life, and let them see “behind the scenes” in your business. This works really well on Instagram and Instagram Stories.
Allow your audience to know your struggles, and the things you’ve been challenged with.
Create a series of vlogs about your business.
SCREW UPS ARE WELCOME!
Think about your vulnerabilities… the things that on a human level enable you to connect with others. It doesn’t have to be ANYTHING to do with your business. It could be…
- Your desperation to have children
- How you had to quit your job because….
- Your fear of setting up your business
- How your business cost you your relationship
- Your business struggles
- Loosing your job, or relationship breakdowns
